Laminate Flooring Décor Tips
Ready to shop for a new laminate floor? Let TORLYS Décor Consultants guide you through this process.
• Casual Décor Style: Bevelled-edge laminate flooring planks with textured surfaces create an "easy living" feel. You may consider a richly textured laminate floor for a casual family room - the heavier the grain, the more casual the look.
• Traditional Décor Style: Rich, deep tones and natural variations of Jatoba or Merbau laminate floors, enrich a more traditional decor.
• Modern Décor Style: Minimal grain work best for a clean, simple look. Consider Maple, Beech or Cherry laminate flooring.
• To give your floor more definition select a Provence laminate floor product featuring a 4 sided Bevelled edge.
Inspired by nature and created to meet the design needs of any space...
• For a smooth look and seamless appearance, select a product with square edge detail such as Park Lane, Manhattan or Pier 7 laminate flooring.
• The key to achieving the "lived-in" look is by layering colors and textures, mixing old with new, and choosing well-worn or handmade materials wherever possible. Recessed bevel edge, will give the look of a hand-scraped floor.
• Lighter colors of laminate flooring help small rooms appear larger; while rich, dark tones add drama to large rooms to create a warmer, more intimate feel.
• For rooms with plenty of natural light, consider some of the darker tones available in laminate flooring. If the room doesn't have a lot of natural light, you can lighten it up considerably by choosing a lighter colour floor.
• You can visually expand the size of your room by selecting a strip floor from Manhattan laminate flooring collection, while a plank floor such as the Uptown laminate flooring collection, enhances a larger room.
