Question of the Month
Ask TORLYS Archive
Have a question about your TORLYS floor or any flooring in general? We may already have the answer in our archive section. Check it out...
Question 1:
Regarding hardness and damage resistance, are all Torlys engineered hardwoods pretty much the same or are some more robust than others?
Question 2:
Would Everest Maple Natural and Bamboo Vertical be equally durable and resistant to dog nail damage or would one be even slightly better than the other?
Question 3:
Would installing a TORLYS engineered hardwood floor be much the same as installing a Torlys laminate floor or is it in any way more challenging?
Question 4:
Does incoming light generally tend to make the colour of the engineered hardwood (Natural Maple and Vertical Bamboo) lighter or darker over time?
Question 5:
Does this colour change occur only where there is direct sunlight daily on the floor or does the change happen in response to indirect light generally, even in areas that are relatively protected, eg. passageways?
Question 6:
Which are more resistant to colour change over time, the lighter or darker woods?
Question 7:
What would you recommend for pads under furniture legs that might protect the floor and also not slip?
Question 8:
We are considering your cork flooring product for our family room and we have a large dog. How does cork hold up to dog traffic?
Question 9:
Could you tell me how to recoat a TORLYS Hardwood floor and restore its lustre?
Question 10:
We have a 11 year old Lassie Collie dog and she is not as active as she once was. Our question is, will her nails damage either Everest Maple Natural or Everest Bamboo floors?
